Cirque d'So Lame
Will and I somehow came into the possession of two free tickets to see the RoughRiders of South Florida perform their show, Fantastic Voyage, at the Amaturo Theater in the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, for the matinee show, this afternoon at 2 p.m.
The kindest thing I can do at this point is not review this show at all. What did I like about it? Alfred Lewis as Bette Davis was original and hysterical. I've seen Bette Davis drag queens, honey, and heard all the lame jokes before. He was actually pretty good, and had us rolling.
We left soon after, and before the intermission. What's this misconception that gay people are universally talented? Come visit Fort Lauderdale, baby!

A friend of mine just forwarded your review of the rough riders show to me. Thank you so much for the kind words you had about my performace. It really means alot to me to know that there are still people out there that "get" what i'm doing. I can't tell you how sick i am of people saying "that was really good, but you should do newer people....like britney spears!" As if there's anything remotely interesting or classic about her or Paris or any of those other twats passing as "stars" these days. Thanks again! Alfred
